The KI Friday Factoid has been a regular feature at KI since the inception of the company.

Here at the Factoid megaplex, many of us have been curious as to why we never hear our kids, nieces, nephews, etc... squawking about Twitter.  Our recent Factoid staff meeting turned into an impromptu research flurry that turned up the following numbers on who actually uses Twitter.

Contrary to popular perception, Twitter use is actually a middle-aged phenomenon with users over age 35 making up almost 60% of the user population.  Stats compliments of the folks at Nielsen:
