Knowledge Infusion Molds the Future of the Workforce
August 17, 2011
Minneapolis, MN—August 17, 2011 Knowledge Infusion, a global leader in the HR consulting industry, helps to shape the future of the workforce by inviting HRIR graduate students of the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota (UMN) to an exclusive executive HR event at Target Corporation headquarters in Minneapolis on Monday, August 15, with the goal of infusing real world knowledge in the Millennial generation entering the workforce.
A number of graduate students sat alongside HR leaders from more than 20 leading organizations, including Target Corporation, Best Buy, General Mills, SUPERVALU, Ameriprise Financial, Deluxe Corporation, Hazelden Foundation, Thrivent Financial, Imation, Star Tribune, and The Toro Company among others reaching over 850,000 employees across the globe.
Attendees heard first hand from Knowledge Infusion customer Target Corporation who shared the innovative process and journey the organization went through for defining a talent strategy and managing employee performance, and Knowledge Infusion CEO Jason Averbook hosted an expert discussion about the “New Normal” of Talent Management where he highlighted five key steps organizations can take to increase organizational performance today – both presentations offered actionable information for attendees to take back to their own organizations.
“Performance Management is one of my areas of interest, and I was excited to hear relevant business cases to supplement my coursework,” said Matt Young, MA HRIR, 2012 Candidate, Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. “I found the lecture to be very informative and provided relevant information on how Talent Management strategies need to evolve to meet current talent and labor trends. It was also nice to hear how Talent Management strategies are developed in practice by having Target Corporation talk about their talent climate and business objectives moving forward.”
“As we continue to move toward having a melting pot of different generations in the workforce, it is now more important than ever to have a collaborative forum for HR leaders and future HR leaders alike to come together and share best practices and learn from one another,” said Jason Averbook, Knowledge Infusion CEO. “One of the most important things Knowledge Infusion can do going forward is to prepare future leaders that enter the workforce with a view of what HR must look like into the future.”
The Executive Forum breakfast was the fourth in a series of exclusive, invitation-only networking events for HR leaders. For more information regarding upcoming Knowledge Infusion Executive Forums, contact us.
