During 2007, organizations around the world realized more than ever the need to not only OPTIMIZE their existing HR and talent business processes, but truly transform them to work in today's world. A few highlights:

  1. Business processes must be built with business outcomes in mind

  2. Business processes must be built for the workforce, not for the HR department

  3. Business processes must be established at two levels; 20,000 foot level and then calibrated to the technology level

  4. All business processes need Deployment Excellence (change management) to insure success

  5. Business processes transformation is truly what makes technology successful, not the technology itself

  6. Business processes need to think about reporting and workforce intelligence as well, not just the transaction

  7. Business processes must be integrated into the business as much as possible insuring employees don't have to go to 15 places to engage in the process

  8. Business processes must be consistent and standardized where possible

  9. Business processes must be RAD (Repeatable, Auditable, Documented) for compliance and alignment purposes

  10. Business processes must have metrics tied to them; before the transformation and after - what has been the impact

Organizations around the world the Knowledge Infusion has worked with to drive change has made each of these a priority. If these are not a priority, learn from them as you enter 2008 and focus on any of this work.
