      <title>Your Resume is So 1.0</title>

Part of these evaluations include working with organizations to understand their existing processes and what they see as the "future of recruiting" in their worlds.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Recently, while working with a client on one of these projects, they introduced me to the "Visual CV".  According to the VP of Talent Management, they have seen a "400% increase in these types of resumes and documents (do we still call it that?) in the past 6 months.  Another interesting statement from that person was:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;"Our new generation of manager prefers this type of profile of the future worker over the typical resume.  It gives them a snapshot of the true person and a better idea of their true capabilities and past accomplishments."&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Is this the ONLY resume of the future?  Will resumes be a thing of the past in the past 5 years and everyone will have a "online profile" like Facebook or LinkedIn? This is as a result of many things such as:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li level="1" type="ul"&gt;&lt;p&gt;Failed deployments of existing technologies&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li level="1" type="ul"&gt;&lt;p&gt;Downward economy making organizations think more about how to hire&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li level="1" type="ul"&gt;&lt;p&gt;Quality of hire and quality of data about hire continues to be in question&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;a class="jive-link-external-small" dynsrc="#" href="http://www.jimstroud.com" lowsrc="#" src="#"&gt;Jim Stroud&lt;/a&gt; posts an entertaining video that is meant to do nothing but take the edge off of the day.  Take a minute to watch and pass on  to your colleagues.  It is a great way to get them using and commenting within the Center of Excellence.
